What a great solution to the reading light problem! We used this in a guest room that has no space for bed side tables. How nice to not have to worry about cords and installation.

Looks great but even mounted just above our heads the light isn't bright enough to read by for more than a few minutes without strain.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The light looks good, here comes the but, it is too light weight and my side the light fell out the first time I used it. My husband was pleased with the amount of light, I could not read with that low of a light and it glared on my Kindle. We are keeping it because now there are holes in the wall below my pictures and it is okay for my husband.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

this product is not a reading light

This product has very little actual light that comes from the bulbs. I tried to get a higher wattage bulb and they do not work with this product. If you want it as a night light it is perfect but for reading it STINKS.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
